-at a distance of less than 1 km there is the Kazan Cathedral, an outstanding example of Russian architecture of the begining of the 19-th century. It was erected of stone in place of the small church to keep the ancient icon of Our Lady of Kazan
- 1 km to the Hermitage Museum (the Winter Palace), one of the biggest museums all over the world, former winter residence of Russian tsars.
- 1 km to the Russian Museum, the great collection of Russian art from medieval icons to realistic painting
- 1 km to the temple of the Resurrection of Christ ( Saviour-on-the-Blood), which was erected on the very place, where Russian emperor Alexander II was assassinated in 1881. Here you can admire the fantastic Russian mosaic art. Mosaics occupy an enormous surface here
- 1,5 km to the Alexandro-Nevskaya Laura, one of four Russian lauras; the main place of interest here is the monastery cemetery, where there are a lot of tombstone monuments to the famous persons of 18-19-th centuries.
- 2 km to the peter and Paul Fotress, former political prison. This is the place of burying of Russian tsars of Romanov dynasty. At the moment it is the museum of history of Saint Petersburg
- 2 km to the Saint Isaak`s Cathedral, the fourth cathedral in the world by dimension of its dome. It is very rich in decorations: monolithic columns, paintings, mosaics, sculptures, marble and semiprecious stones.
- 2 km to the Yusupov Palace, the beautiful example of typical Saint Petersburg architecture of the beginning of 18-th century. Here you can visit the room, where Rasputin was assassinated.
- 2,5 km to the Mariinski Theatre, where one of the best theatre company in the world gives performances, put classical ballets and international operas.
